The data code is displayed on the TV screen if you connect your camcorder to a TV.

The indicator toggles through the following sequences as you press DATA CODE on the Remote Commander: DATE/TIME t CAMERA DATA t OFF (no indication).

Depending on the disc condition, bars [--:--:--] appear.

The setting returns to [OFF] when you set the POWER switch to OFF (CHG) for more than 12 hours.

DISPLAY

You can select the number of thumbnails that appear on the VISUAL INDEX screen. Thumbnail Glossary (p.140)

Change the number of thumbnails (6 or 12) with the zoom lever on your camcorder.*

6IMAGES

Displays thumbnails of 6 images.

12IMAGES

Displays thumbnails of 12 images.

*You can operate with the zoom buttons on the LCD frame or on the Remote Commander.

MOVIE PB

Because the default setting is [ON], when

you select tab on the VISUAL INDEX screen the first 5 seconds of each movie displayed on the screen are played back in sequence.

Set to [OFF] to conserve battery power.

Playback for the movie stops after repeating 5 times.

REMAINING

BAUTO

Displays the remaining disc indicator for about 8 seconds in situations such as those described below.

When your camcorder recognizes the remaining disc capacity with the POWER switch set to (Movie).

When you press DISP/BATT INFO to switch the indicator from off to on with the POWER switch to (Movie).

When the recordable time for movies is less than 5 minutes.

When you start recording from the line input (For DCR-DVD405E/DVD805E).

ON

Always displays the remaining disc indicator.
