Recording images at close range
Set the MACRO switch to ON. The (macro) indicator appears on the LCD screen. You can record a subject as close as about 15 cm (6 inches) to 19 cm (7 1/2 inches).
0.2m is indicated on the camera as the approximate recording distance. Use this function to record a small subject, such as a flower or insect, at close range.
Notes
•After finishing recording in macro, return the MACRO switch to OFF. If you leave the MACRO switch set to ON, the camera may not be able to focus on distant subjects or the image may become dark when you use the flash.
•When recording images in macro, use the LCD screen. If you record using the finder, the range visible in the finder may differ from the actual recording range.
