First, check the model number of your microphone (see fig A) and then read the operating instructions for ECM-C115, ECM- C10 or ECM-CS10. Before operating the unit, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.

Features

ECM-C115, ECM-C10, ECM-CS10

•Small, tiepin-shaped microphone, suitable for clipping to your tie, lapel or pocket, with supplied holding clip for use as a desk-top stand.

•Plug-in power supply compatible for direct connection to the microphone jack of a recording device with the plug-in power function.

ECM-C115

•2 way power system for compatibility with your tape recorder (powered by supplied battery box or the plug-in power supply system).

•Remaining battery life LED indicator.

Precautions

•This microphone is a precision instrument. Never disassemble.

•Keep the microphone away from extremely high temperatures (above 60°C or 140°F) and humidity.

•If the microphone is placed near speakers, a high pitched noise may be heard (howling effect), caused by the microphone feeding back on itself through the speakers.

In this case, place the microphone away from the speakers.•Never let the microphone become wet with rain or saltwater.

•When the unit, plugs or lithium battery become soiled, wipe them with a dry cloth.

•Always hold the plug when disconnecting. Pulling the cord may cause it to snap.

As this system uses a monaural plug (two poles), recording is done only on the left channel when connected to a stereo tape recorder.

Notes on lithium battery

•Keep the lithium battery out of the reach of children. Should the battery be swallowed, immediately consult a doctor.

•Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to assure good contact.•Be sure to observe correct polarity when installing the battery.

•Do not hold the battery with metallic tweezers. Doing so can cause a short-circuit.

Parts Identification and Function (See fig. B)

1Battery check indicator

When you turn the power on, the battery check indicator lights up momentarily. This is normal. The light tells you that the battery still has life. When the battery becomes weak, the indicator lights dimly or does not light at all.

Attach to reduce popping noise caused by the direct exposure to direct wind or breath.

Installing the battery (See fig. C)

When connecting to a tape recorder that does not have plug-in power, use the battery box with a Sony lithium battery CR2025 (not supplied) installed. Before installing, wipe the battery with a dry cloth to assure good contact.

When installing the battery, be sure to match the e and E on the lithium battery with the same marks on the battery compartment. Otherwise, the microphone will not operate.

1Push the hook inside using a pointed object such as a ballpoint pen and pull out the battery compartment.

2Install a new lithium battery in the battery compartment with the e side up.3Insert the battery compartment back into the battery box.Battery life

The Sony lithium battery CR2025 (not supplied) gives continuous operation on the microphone for about 300 hours. When you turn the power on, the battery check indicator lights momentarily. When the battery becomes weak, the indicator lights dimly or does not light at all. In this case, replace the battery with a new one (Sony lithium battery CR2025 (not supplied)). To avoid battery wear or leakage, be sure to turn the power off after using the microphone.

Connection

Removing the wind screen (See fig. F)

(Supplied only with ECM-C115)Pull up the hook as shown in the figure to remove the wind screen.

How to use the Holding clip (See fig. G)

Caractéristiques

ECM-C115, ECM-C10, ECM-CS10

•Petit microphone en forme de pince à cravate, pouvant être attaché à une cravate, un revers de veste ou à une poche. Petit microphone pendentif facile à fixer par la pince porte-microphone.

•Alimentation par enfichage compatible avec un raccordement direct à la prise du microphone d’un appareil d’enregistrement doté de la fonction d’alimentation par enfichage.

ECM-C115

•Deux systèmes d’alimentation compatibles avec votre magnétocassette (alimentation par le boîtier de pile fourni ou le système d’alimentation par enfichage).

•Voyant d’autonomie de la batterie.

Précautions

•Ce microphone est un instrument de précision. Ne jamais le démonter.

•Ne pas exposer le microphone à des températures extrêmement élevées (au-dessus de 60°C ou 140°F) ni à l’humidité.

•Si le microphone est placé près d’enceintes, un bruit aigu (réaction acoustique) risque de se produire, en raison d’un retour son entre les enceintes et le microphone. Dans ce cas, éloignez le microphone des enceintes.

•Evitez de mettre le microphone en contact avec de l’eau de pluie ou de l’eau de mer.

•Lorsque l’appareil, les fiches ou la pile au lithium sont sales, essuyez-les avec un chiffon sec.

•Débranchez toujours le microphone en tirant sur la fiche et non pas sur le cordon. Il pourrait se couper.

Ce microphone a une fiche monophonique (bipôle). L’enregistrement s’effectue seulement sur le canal gauche lorsque le microphone est raccordé à un magnétocassette stéréo.

Remarques sur la pile au lithium

•Rangez la pile au lithium hors de portée des enfants. En cas d’ingestion, consultez immédiatement un médecin.

•Essuyez la pile avec un chiffon sec pour assurer un bon contact.•Veillez à respecter la polarité correcte lorsque vous installez la pile.

•Ne tenez pas la pile par une pince métallique. Un court-circuit peut se produire.

AVERTISSEMENT

Si elle est utilisée de façon inadéquate, la pile peut exploser. Ne pas recharger, démonter ni incinérer la pile.

Identification des pièces et utilisation (voir fig. B)

1Témoin de pile

Lorsque vous mettez le microphone sous tension, le témoin s’allume un instant. C’est normal. Il vous indique que la pile n’est pas vide. Lorsque la pile se décharge, le témoin luit faiblement ou ne s’allume pas du tout.

Permet de réduire le bruit causé par l’exposition au vent ou au souffle de la respiration.

Mise en place de la pile (voir fig. C)

Si le microphone doit être raccordé à un magnétocassette non compatible avec le système d’alimentation par enfichage, utilisez le boîtier de pile avec une pile au lithium Sony CR2025 (non fourni). Avant d’insérer la pile, essuyez-la bien avec un chiffon sec pour assurer un bon contact.

Lorsque vous insérez la pile, veillez à diriger les faces e et E de la façon indiquée dans le logement, sinon le microphone ne fonctionnera pas.

1Appuyez sur le verrou en utilisant un objet pointu, par exemple un stylo, et sortez le logement de la pile.

2Installez une nouvelle pile au lithium dans le logement en dirigeant la face e vers le haut.

3Remettez le logement dans le boîtier de pile.Autonomie de la pile

La pile au lithium Sony CR2025 (non fourni) permet d’utiliser le microphone pendant 300 heures environ. Lorsque vous mettez le microphone sous tension, le témoin de pile s’allume momentanément. Lorsque la pile s’est déchargée, le témoin luit faiblement ou ne s’allume pas du tout. Dans ce cas, remplacez la pile par une neuve (pile au lithium Sony CR2025 (non fourni)). Pour éviter que la pile ne s’use ou ne fuit, éteignez toujours le microphone lorsque vous ne l’utilisez plus.

Raccordement

Raccordement à un magnétocassette compatible avec le système d’alimentation par enfichage (voir fig. D)

L’alimentation du microphone est fournie par l’appareil auquel il est raccordé.

Remarque

Le boîtier de pile n’est pas rattaché à l’ECM-C10/CS10. Utilisez l’ECM-C115 avec un magnétocassette compatible avec le système d’alimentation par enfichage.

Retrait de la bonnette antivent (voir fig. F) (Fournie avec l’ECM-C115 seulement)

Relevez le verrou comme indiqué sur l’illustration pour enlever la bonnette antivent.

Comment utiliser la pince (voir fig. G)

AFixez le porte-pince sur la rainure du microphone.B Pour utiliser la pince sur un bureau, il suffit de déplier les pieds.C Faites pivoter la pince afin de régler l’angle du microphone.

Ermitteln Sie zunächst die Modellnummer Ihres Mikrofons (siehe Abb. A) und lesen Sie dann die Bedienungsanleitung für ECM-C115, ECM-C10 bzw. ECM-CS10 durch. Lesen Sie diese Anleitung vor der Inbetriebnahme genau durch und bewahren Sie sie zum späteren Nachschlagen sorgfältig auf.

Besondere Merkmale

ECM-C115, ECM-C10, ECM-CS10

•Miniatur-Krawattennadelmikrofon zum Anbringen an Krawatte, Kragen oder Tasche. Mitgelieferter Ansteckclip lässt sich auch als Standfuß zum Aufstellen verwenden.

•Plug-in-Power-kompatibel für direkte Verbindung mit Mikrofonbuchse eines Aufnahmegeräts mit Plug-in-Power- Funktion.

ECM-C115

•Universal einsetzbar dank zwei verschiedener Stromversorgungsmöglichkeiten: mitgelieferter Batteriebehälter oder Plug-in-Power-System.

•LED-Prüfanzeige für die Restladung der Batterie.

Zur besonderen Beachtung

•Das Mikrofon besteht aus Präzisionsteilen. Zerlegen Sie es auf keinen Fall.

•Halten Sie das Mikrofon von hohen Temperaturen (über 60 °C) und Feuchtigkeit fern.

•Wird das Mikrofon in der Nähe eines Lautsprechers aufgestellt, kann es durch akustische Rückkopplung zu Störgeräuschen (Heulton) kommen, da das Mikrofon den Ton von den Lautsprechern wiederholt aufnimmt. Stellen Sie das Mikrofon in diesem Fall weiter entfernt vom Lautsprecher auf.

•Schützen Sie das Mikrofon unbedingt vor Regen und Salzwasser.

•Wenn das Mikrofon, die Anschlussstecker oder die Lithiumbatterie verschmutzt sind, wischen Sie die Teile mit einem trockenen Tuch ab.

•Fassen Sie beim Lösen des Kabels stets am Stecker an. Ziehen Sie niemals am Kabel, da es sonst beschädigt werden kann.

Das Mikrofon ist mit einem zweipoligen Monostecker ausgestattet. Wird es an einen Stereorecorder angeschlossen, erfolgt die Aufnahme nur auf dem linken Kanal.

Hinweise zur Lithiumbatterie

•Halten Sie die Lithiumbatterie außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern. Wenn jemand eine Batterie verschluckt hat, wenden Sie sich umgehend an einen Arzt.

•Wischen Sie die Batterie mit einem trockenen Tuch sauber, um guten Kontakt sicherzustellen.

•Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der Batterie auf die Polarität.

•Halten Sie die Batterie nicht mit einer Metallpinzette, da sie sonst kurzgeschlossen werden kann.

Vorsicht

Die Batterie kann bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung explodieren. Versuchen Sie niemals, die Batterie wiederaufzuladen, nehmen Sie sie nicht auseinander und werfen Sie sie nicht in Feuer.

1Batterieanzeige

Beim Einschalten signalisiert diese Anzeige durch kurzes Aufleuchten, dass die Batteriekapazität noch ausreicht. Bei erschöpfter Batterie leuchtet die Anzeige nur noch schwach oder gar nicht mehr.

Der Batteriebehälter kann an einer Krawatte, einem Kragen oder einer Tasche angebracht werden.

Mit dem Windschutz können Sie die Popp-Geräusche reduzieren, die durch Wind oder Nahbesprechung auftreten.

Einlegen der Batterie (siehe Abb. C)

Wenn Sie das Mikrofon an einen Kassettenrecorder anschließen, der nicht mit einer Plug-in-Power-Mikrofonbuchse ausgestattet ist, verwenden Sie den Batteriebehälter mit einer eingelegten CR2025- Lithiumbatterie (nicht mitgeliefert) von Sony. Bevor Sie die Batterie einlegen, wischen Sie sie mit einem trockenen Tuch ab, um einen guten Kontakt sicherzustellen.

Beachten Sie beim Einlegen der Lithiumbatterie die Polaritätsangaben (e/E) im Batteriehalter. Bei falsch herum eingelegter Lithiumbatterie arbeitet das Mikrofon nicht.

1Drücken Sie mit einem spitzen Gegenstand (Kugelschreiber etc.) auf die Verriegelung des Batteriehalters und ziehen Sie den Halter heraus.

2Legen Sie eine neue Lithiumbatterie mit der Seite e nach oben in den Halter ein.

3Schieben Sie den Halter in den Behälter zurück.Lebensdauer der Lithiumbatterie

Mit der CR2025-Lithiumbatterie von Sony (nicht mitgeliefert) kann das Mikrofon etwa 300 Stunden lang betrieben werden. Wenn die Batteriekapazität ausreicht, leuchtet beim Einschalten die Batterieanzeige kurz auf. Bei erschöpfter Batterie leuchtet die Anzeige nur noch schwach oder gar nicht mehr. Wechseln Sie die Batterie dann gegen eine neue CR2025-Lithiumbatterie von Sony (nicht mitgeliefert) aus. Vergessen Sie nicht, das Mikrofon nach dem Betrieb auszuschalten, damit der Lithiumbatterie nicht unnötig Strom entzogen wird.

Abnehmen des Windschutzes (siehe Abb. F)

Ziehen Sie den Haken wie in der Abbildung dargestellt nach oben und nehmen Sie den Windschutz ab.

So verwenden Sie den Ansteckclip (siehe Abb. G)

AKlemmen Sie den Halter in die Kerbe am Mikrofongehäuse.

BWenn Sie den Fuß herausklappen, können Sie den Ansteckclip auch als Standfuß für das Mikrofon verwenden.

CDrehen Sie zum Einstellen des Mikrofonwinkels den Ansteckclip.
