AVCHD Format UX7 UX5 SR1

The AVCHD format is a High Definition digital camcorder format for recording video signals by using highly efficient codec technologies. It employs MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec for video compression, and Dolby® Digital or Linear PCM for audio codec. This promising recording format technology is capable of compressing images at a higher efficiency than that of conventional image compressing formats, allowing for much smaller recordings without loss of image quality. Choose your preferred recording media with either the built-in Hard Disk Drive or 8cm DVD Disc media options to suit your preference. Both types of non-linear media allow you to enjoy random access with thumbnail displays of recordings and without any worries about overwriting.

Enjoy the simplicity and convenience of storing, sharing and playback of videos directly from DVD Discs.

Player for AVCHD is a PC software application designed to play AVCHD format videos recorded by your Handycam® camcorder on your PC in full screen.

Video Disc Copier UX7 UX5 SR1

HDV Format HC7 HC5 FX7

Under the HDV standard, the MPEG-2 format has been adopted to efficiently compress HD image data and record onto MiniDV tapes at high density, while maintaining high picture quality. The MPEG-2 format is a standard compression method used for video media including DVDs as well as satellite and terrestrial digital broadcasts. Under the HDV standard, there are 2 types of HD recording systems - namely 720p and 1080i. Sony has adopted the 1080i specifications for its range of HD camcorders.

Video Disc Copier is a PC software application that lets you convert your AVCHD format videos to DVD format and make multiple disc copies in either format easily.

Easy Exporting SR1 HC7 HC5

Quickly and easily export your favourite edited videos back into the Hard Disk (for HDR-SR1) or the MiniDV/HDV tape (for HDR-HC7 / HDR-HC5).

•All supplied software applications for HDR-UX7, HDR-UX5, HDR-HC7 and HDR-HC5 are compatible with the x.v.Colour standard.

•Picture Motion Browser software functions differ between HDV, AVCHD (Disc) and AVCHD (HDD) models.
