電池の入れかた (A)

1電池入れのふたをÓの方向にずらして指を離 す。2電池入れを引き出す。3リチウム電池を、＋側を上にして、正しい 位置に入れる。4電池入れを押してふたを閉める。乾電池の交換時期
電池が消耗してくると、音が弱くなったりひずんだり します。その場合は、新しいものと交換してくださ い。
電池の持続時間については「主な仕様」をご覧くだ さい。

•コードを引き出すときは、イヤーピース（耳に入れる部 分）を強く押さえたりしないで、コードを持って引き出 してください。イヤーピースを持って引き出すと、故障 の原因となります。

•コードは、黄色のエンドマークが見えたら、それ以上 無理に引っ張らないでください。

WINDをスライドさせる。
コードが途中で止まってしまったときは
コードを5cmほど引き出して、もう一度AUTO WINDをスライドさせてください。

ご注意

•放送を聞きながらコードを引き出したり巻き取ったり すると、雑音が聞こえてくる場合があります。

ラジオを聞くには (C)

パワーオートオフ

1電源（POWER/AUTO OFF）スイッチを

オン

ÒONにする。

バンド

2BAND FM（TV1～3）かAMを選ぶ。

チューニング

3選局（TUNING）する。

ボリューム

4音量（VOL）を調節する。ラジオを止めるには

オフ

POWER/AUTO OFFスイッチをOFF Óにします。
ラジオの電源が突然切れてしまったときは
このラジオは、消し忘れによる電池のむだな消耗を防 ぐため、自動的に電源が切れるようになっています （パワーオートオフ機能）。
電源が切れた後、さらにお聞きになりたいときは、
もう一度POWER/AUTO OFFスイッチをÒ ONにし ます。
POWER/AUTO OFFスイッチをÒ ONにしても電源
が入らない場合や、パワーオートオフ機能が働いてい ないのに電源が切れる場合は、電池が消耗しています ので新しい電池と交換してください。
良い受信状態で聞くには
乗り物やビルの中では電波が弱められますので、窓際 でお聞きください。
FM放送の場合：イヤーレシーバーのコードがアンテ ナとして働きます。コードを最後まで（黄色のエンド マークが見えるまで）引き出してお使いください。
AM放送の場合：アンテナが内蔵されているため、 ラジオの向きによって受信状態が変わります。最も良 く受信できる方向にしてお聞きください。
日本国内でお使いの場合：

このラジオのテレビ音声受信回路は、FM放送の受信 回路と兼用になっています。このため、一部の地域で は、テレビ2、またはテレビ3チャンネルの音声を受 信中、FM放送が混じって聞こえることがあります。 その場合には、お近くのソニーサービス窓口にご相談 ください。

When to replace the battery

When the sound becomes distorted or unstable, replace the battery with a new one.

See “Specifications” concerning battery life.

Notes on lithium battery

•Insert the battery with polarities correctly aligned.

•You cannot charge the battery.

•When the battery will not be used for a long period of time, remove it.

•Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to assure a good contact.

•Do not hold the battery with metallic tweezers as doing so may cause a short-circuit.

•Do not break up the battery nor throw it into fire, which might cause it to explode. Carefully dispose of the used battery.

•In case of battery leakage, wipe off all battery fluid in the battery compartment before inserting a new battery.

Caution

•Keep the lithium battery and the radio out of the reach of children. Should the battery be swallowed, immediately consult a doctor.

Using the Built-in

Earphone (See Fig.B)
1Pulling the earphone out from the unitNotes

•When pulling out the cord, do not grasp the earpiece. Otherwise, it may damage the earphone.

•Do not pull out the cord any further than the yellow mark at the end of the cord.

2Winding up the cord

While holding the earphone cord, slide AUTO WIND. The cord will be wound up automatically.

When the earphone cord is not wound completely

Pull out the cord about 5 cm (2 inches) and slide AUTO WIND again.

Note

•When you pull out or wind up the cord while listening to the radio, a noise may be heard.

Operating the Radio

1Slide the POWER/AUTO OFF in the direction of ÒON.2Select FM (TV 1-3ch*) or AM with BAND.3Tune in the desired station with TUNING.4Adjust volume with VOL (volume).

To turn off the radio

Slide POWER/AUTO OFF in the direction of OFF Ó.

When the radio turns off unexpectedly

The radio is turned off automatically after more than 80 minutes to prevent unnecessary wear of the battery. To listen to the radio continuously, slide POWER/AUTO OFF to ÒON

If the radio does not turn on after sliding POWER/AUTO OFF to ÒON, or if the radio turns off unrelated to the Power Auto Off feature, the battery is exhausted. Replace it with a new one.

To improve reception

FM: Since the earphone cord serves as an FM antenna, extend it for better reception.

AM: Since the ferrite bar antenna is built in the unit, rotate the unit horizontally.
