To delete abnormal data from the built-in flash memory

If “CANNOT PLAY”, “EXPIRED”, “FILE ERROR”, “FORMAT ERROR”, “MEMORY ERROR”, or “MG ERROR” appears, there is a problem with all or part of the data stored in the built-in flash memory.

Please follow the procedures below to erase data you cannot play.

1Connect your Network Walkman to the computer, and start the SonicStage software.

2If you have already specified the data with problems, erase the data from the Portable Player window of the SonicStage software.

3If the problem persists, transfer all data without problems back to the computer using the SonicStage software while your Network Walkman is connected to the computer.

4Disconnect your Network Walkman from the computer and then format the built-in flash memory using the “Format” menu (page 39).
