The ACCESS indicator, peak
level indicators, z REC
button, N PLAY/ENTER
button, or X PAUSE button
indicators do not light.
• “LED” is set to “OFF”. Display the menu and set “LED” to “ON”
(page79).
“Memory Full” is displayed
and you cannot start
recording.
• The memory is full. Delete some of the trac ks or delete all the
tracks after you store them on your computer (page 30, 69).
“Track Full” is displayed and
you cannot operate the PCM
recorder.
• 99 tracks have been recorded in the selected folder. Therefore
you cannot record another track, or copy a track. Delete some of
the tracks or delete all the tracks after you store them on your
computer (page30, 69).
Noise is heard. • A button on the PCM recorder is pressed, the case is touched, or
the PCM recorder is held, so that noise was recorded.
• The PCM recorder was placed near an AC power source, a
fluorescent lamp or a mobile phone during recording or playback.
• Roaring noise from wind, or other noises from electric fans, air
conditioners, air cleaners, or PC fans have been recorded. You can
reduce the noise by setting the LCF(Low Cut Filter) function
(page43).
• Plug of the connected microphone was dirty when recording.
Clean the plug.
• The headphone plug is dirty. Clean the plug.
The input sound is distorted. • The level is too high in automatic recording.
When a guide is displayed, set the MIC SENS(ATT) switch to
“LOW,” or place the PCM recorder away from the sound source.
If the problem persists, switch to manual recording, and adjust the
recording level manually using the REC LEVEL dial.
• The sound source has parts that are too loud. Set “LIMITER” in
the menu to “ON” (page44).
