Using the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) menu

The PSP® system includes a user interface called XMB™ (XrossMediaBar).

1 Select a category using the

left or right button.

2 Select an item using the up or

down button.

3 Press the button to confirm

a selected item.

 You can cancel an operation by pressing the

button.

 The busy icon is displayed only while the

system is communicating over a network or

reading data.

Icons displayed on the screen vary

depending on the system software version.

The battery does not charge, or does not fully recharge. The battery charge doesnt last long. Picture The screen suddenly turns dark. The screen is dark and hard to see. Pixels that are not lit or are continuously lit on the screen do not disappear. The color of the screen does not look right. 44 The volume does not turn up. The headphones do not emit sound or the sound contains noise. The PSP systems internal microphone does not pick up sound. Memory Stick Micro Music Music does not play. The system does not recognize a music file. Photo Images do not display. 46 Bluetooth The Bluetooth device cannot be registered, or paired, with the PSP system. A connection cannot be established between the Bluetooth device and the PSP system. There is no sound from the Bluetooth device. The system does not function properly. The date and time are reset. The PSP system is not recognized by the PC when connected using a USB cable. The connected USB device is not recognized by the PSP system. You forgot your password.
