Precautions
On safety¥Before operating the system, be sure that the operating voltage of the system is identical with that of your local power supply.
¥The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.
¥Unplug the system from the wall outlet if it is not to be used for an extended period of time. To disconnect the cord, pull the cord by grasping the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
¥Should any liquid or solid object fall into the system, unplug the systemÕs power cord and have the system checked by qualiÞed personnel before operating it any further.
¥AC power cord must be changed only at the qualiÞed service shop.On operation¥Do not drive the speaker system with a continuous wattage exceeding the maximum input power of the system.
¥If the polarity of the speaker connections are not correct, the bass tones will be weak and the position of the various instruments obscure.
¥Contact between bare speaker wires at the speaker terminals may result in a short circuit.
¥Before connecting, turn off the ampliÞer to avoid damaging the speaker system.¥The speaker grille cannot be removed. Do not attempt to remove the grille on the speaker system. If you try to remove it, you may damage the speaker.
¥The volume level should not be turned up to the point of distortion.If you encounter color irregularity on a nearby TV screenThis speaker system is magnetically shielded to allow it to be installed near a TV set. However, color irregularities may still be observed on certain types of TV sets.

Attaching the floor stand ()
(for front speakers)1 Attach the front speakers to the ßoor stands (), and tightly secure the
Tempered glass may be more fragile than regular glass. If the glass breaks, it may cause serious injury. To prevent accidents, note the following.
¥Do not subject the glass to excessive physical shock. Do not drop objects from a high position or hit the glass. Do not hit the edges of the glass.
¥Do not crack the glass.The glass may break instantly (or later) because of a tiny crack. If you Þnd any crack on the tempered glass, consult the dealer or Sony Customer Service for exchange.
¥Do not subject the glass to extreme changes in temperature. Tempered glass is not
Attaching the table top stand
(for front/surround speakers)1 Secure the terminal adapters () to the table top stand bases () with the screws (M5) ()
2 Attach the front or surround speakers to the terminal adapters (), and secure them with the
Attaching the wall mounting bracket
(for front/surround/center speaker)1 Attach the terminal adapters () to the front and surround speakers before attaching the wall mounting bracket.
Secure the wall mounting hooks () to the back of each speaker with the screws (M4) () and connect the speaker cords ( or )
2 Attach the wall mounting brackets ( or ) on a wall with screws (not supplied)
3 Secure the screws on the wall mounting brackets () after adjusting the angles (front and surround speakers only)
4 Set the wall mounting hooks () on the back of the speakers onto the wall mounting brackets ( or )
¥Use screws that are suitable for the wall material and strength. As a plaster board wall is especially fragile, attach the screws securely to a beam and fasten them to the wall. Install the speakers on a vertical and ßat wall where reinforcement is applied.
¥Contact a screw shop or installer regarding the wall material or screws to be used.
¥Sony is not responsible for accidents or damage caused by improper installation, insufÞcient wall strength, improper screw installation, or natural calamity, etc.
Attaching the center speaker stand
(for center speaker)1 Thread the speaker cord () through the holes on the base () and the adjuster () of the center speaker stand, and connect it to the center speaker
3 Secure the base () to the adjuster () with the screws (M5) () after adjusting the angle
Placing the stickers
When using the speakers with their stands, you can cover the screw holes for wall mounting on the back of the speakers with the supplied stickers.
When installing the front/surround speakers on the wall, you can cover the screw holes on the bottom of the terminal adapters with the supplied stickers.
