Overview
The
When the wireless transmitter turns off or the infrared rays are interrupted, the wireless speaker system stands by to save energy.
Precaution
On safety•Should any solid object or liquid fall into the enclosures, unplug the speaker system and have it checked by qualified personnel before
operating it any further. On power sources•The AC power cord must be changed only at a qualified service shop.•Before operating the speakers, check that the operating voltage is identical with your local power supply. The operating voltage is indicated on the nameplate on the rear of the speakers.
•If you are not going to use the speakers for a long time, be sure to disconnect the speakers from the wall outlet. To disconnect the AC power cord, grasp the plug itself; never pull the cord.
On placement•Do not place the speakers near heat sources, or in places subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust or mechanical shock.
•Good ventilation is essential to prevent internal heat buildup. Place the speakers in a location with adequate air circulation, and in a way that does not block the rear ventilation holes.
•Placing the wireless speakers near a light bulb or in direct sunlight may cause noise from the speakers.
On cleaning•Clean the enclosures, panels and controls with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder or solvent such as alcohol or benzine.
If you have any question or problem concerning your wireless speakers, please consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Connecting the infrared transmitter to the WIRELESS REAR SPEAKER jack on the amplifier (A).
NoteIf your amplifier does not have a wireless rear speaker jack, use the input adaptor
Setting up the speaker system
Place the L - speaker to the left and the R - speaker to the right. Place the wireless speakers facing each other about 1 m (2 to 3 feet) above your listening position (C).
The approximate effective area of the infrared ray emitted from the transmitter is 10 m (30 feet) (D). Adjust the position, direction and angle of the transmitter so the wireless speakers (STANDBY (red) indicator and infrared receptor) are within the effective area.
You can place the transmitter on top of the TV, an other component (E), or hang it on a wall (F).
Using the speaker system
Set the amplifier’s POWER switch to ON.The power for the transmitter is supplied by the amplifier. When you turn on the amplifier’s power, the transmitter starts emitting infrared rays and the infrared receptors on the speakers (B) receive the signals. When the speakers receive signals, the infrared receptor lights up green. If the infrared receptor lights up red, the signal is not reaching the receptor. Adjust an angle of the transmitter (G).
Notes•The infrared ray will not penetrate walls or opaque glass. Therefore, the transmitter must be placed ”in sight” of the wireless speakers.
•Placing the transmitter too far away from the wireless speakers may cause noise.
•Do not block the path between the wireless speakers and the transmitter. Otherwise, the speakers will be noisy and then enter stand by mode.
•When you are using other appliances that emit infrared rays at the same time, may be happen of the jamming, do not use at the same time.
•Use the transmitter only, for keep off the jamming.•If the sound from the speakers is very soft or not clear, turn the wireless speakers towards the transmitter.
•When you are using the speaker system for long time, the surface of the transmitter getting hot but no damage for the unit.
•If you experience noise from the wireless speaker while the transmitter is disconnected, turn off the power of the input adaptor or amplifier before disconnecting the plug.
Troubleshooting
No sound or only a very low sound level is heard from the speakers.•Make sure the transmitter is securely connected to the amplifier.•The surround sound is turned off.•Adjust the volume of the Wireless rear speakers (on the amplifier).•Check the sound image balance with the TEST TONE feature (on the amplifier).•The infrared transmitter is too far from, or not aimed at the Wireless speaker.
•Remove any obstructions between the transmitter and the Wireless speakers.Specifications
