Troubleshooting

If you experience trouble with your camera, try the following solutions.

Check the items on pages 203 to 211. Consult your Sony dealer or local

authorized Sony service facility.

The battery pack cannot be installed.

• As you insert the battery pack, use the tip of the ba ttery pack to push the

lock lever (page27).

• You can use an NP-FM500H battery pack only. Make sure that the battery

is NP-FM500H.

The remaining battery indicator is incorrect, or sufficient remaining

battery indicator is displayed but the power runs out too quickly. Cannot

turn on the camera.

• This phenomenon occurs when you use the camera in an extr emely hot or

cold location (page214).

• The battery pack is discharged. Install a charged batt ery pack (page 25).

• The battery pack is dead (page 225). Replace it with a new on e.

• Install the battery pack correctly (page27).

The power turns off suddenly.

• If you do not operate the camera for given period of time, t he camera turns

to power saving mode and nearly shuts down. To cancel the power save,

about 1 minute, and turn on the power.

3Reset the settings (page186).
