Keep the air-intake vents on the bottom, the sides, and the back of your Home Server unblocked. Place the Home Server on a flat, solid surface so as to let the air flow under the bottom of the Home Server.

Be sure to provide adequate air circulation around your Home Server to prevent internal heat from building up, as it will cause your Home Server to malfunction or result in a fire. Keep the cooling fan on the back and the air-exhaust vents on the sides and the bottom unblocked to let the air flow out.
