Setting up Windows Media Center

The first time you launch Windows Media Center, the setup wizard will appear. To configure the TV tuner, click Custom setup and follow the on-screen instructions. In the Optional Setup window, click Configure tuners, TV signal, and Guide and follow the on-screen instructions.

In case the TV tuner was not configured during the first run of Windows Media Center, you can do this by selecting set up TV in the TV + Movies section.

When you want to change TV input signal (TV Signal or TV Signal Type) or change location, click settings in the Tasks section and then click TV. In this case, note that a new channel scan needs to be done, that the previous channel list and Guide information are lost, and that scheduled timer recordings are cancelled.
