Using pictures

Add a picture to a contact, use it during cell phone startup, as a wallpaper in standby or as a screen saver.

An animation of more than 1MB set as wallpaper may affect performance.

Screen saver

The screen saver is automatically activated when the cell phone is idle for a few seconds. After a few more seconds, the screen saver changes to sleep mode to save power. Press any key or button to activate the screen again.

Exchanging pictures

You can exchange pictures using one of the available transfer methods.

You are not allowed to exchange some copyright-protected material. A protected file has a key symbol.

To send a picture

}File Manager } Pictures and scroll to a picture. } More } Send and select a transfer method.

Some cell phones do not support picture sizes larger than 160 x 120 pixels.

To receive a picture

}Settings } Connectivity and select a transfer method.

To save a picture in a message

%35 To save an item in a text message or % 38 To save an item in a picture message or % 42 To view or save an attachment in an email message.

Saving pictures and video clips When you have taken a picture or recorded a video clip, the cell phone saves it in the phone memory or on a memory card, if inserted.

If the phone memory or memory card is full, you cannot save any more pictures or video clips unless you delete or move files, % 17 File Manager.
