Purchasing and Downloading Ringers

To purchase and download ringers for your phone:

1.From the home page, select Downloads > Ringers.

2.Use your navigation key to highlight and select a ringer you wish to download, or use the Categories or Search options to locate a ringer. (Once you have selected a ringer, the ringer detail page is displayed.)

3.From the ringer detail page, select Buy. (The ringer will automatically be downloaded to your phone.)

4.Select an option to continue:

■Select Listen to play the ringer.

■Select Set as to quit your data session and assign the ringer to a phone task.

■Select Shop to browse for other ringers to purchase and download.

■Press to quit the browser and return to standby mode.

Assigning Downloaded Ringers

To assign downloaded ringers to specific events, such as incoming Caller ID calls or voicemail notifications, or to associate downloaded ringers to specific callers in your phone’s Contacts list, refer to your phone’s user guide.

CRT Television specifications

Sprint Nextel was primarily known as a telecommunications company, focusing on mobile communication services. However, one of its less emphasized ventures was its involvement with CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) television technology. While CRT televisions have largely been phased out in favor of flat-screen technologies like LCD and OLED, they played a significant role in television history and provided key insights into imaging technologies.

CRT televisions operate on a principle that has been around since the early 20th century. These devices utilize a vacuum tube to create images on the screen via an electron beam directed at a phosphorescent surface. As the beam sweeps across the screen, it illuminates tiny dots of phosphor in a mix of red, green, and blue, thereby producing vibrant colors and high-quality images.

One of the main features of CRT televisions is their ability to display deep blacks and a wide range of colors. This characteristic is largely attributed to the inherently high contrast ratio that CRT technology offers. Sprint Nextel's involvement with television technology, while not as widely recognized, nevertheless intersects with the digital evolution that has transformed home entertainment. As digital broadcasting and the transition to LCD and LED screens took place, CRT televisions gradually became obsolete. However, their historical significance and the foundational technologies they introduced continue to inform the development of modern display technologies.
