To change blades, loosen the blade bolt. Mount the new blade so that it sits in the same way as the old one and tighten the blade bolt (fig. 26). Tightening torque: 45 Nm.

When replacing the blade, the blade bolt should also be replaced.

The guarantee does not cover damage to the blade, blade holder or engine caused by running into ob- stacles.

When replacing the blade, the blade holder and blade bolt, always use original spare parts. Non- authentic spare parts could lead to the risk of per- sonal injury or damage, even if they fit the ma- chine.

SHARPENING OF THE BLADES

Sharpening of the blades must be done by wet method grinding, using a whetstone or a grind- stone.

For the sake of safety, the blades should not be sharpened on an emery wheel. A very high temper- ature could cause the blade to become brittle.

Once the blade has been sharpened, it must then be balanced so as to avoid vi- bration damage (fig. 27).

STORAGE

WINTER STORAGE

Empty the fuel tank. Start the engine and let it run until it stops. The same petrol must not remain in the tank for more than one month.

Tip up the mower and screw out the sparking plug. Pour a teaspoon of engine oil in the sparking plug hole. Pull out the starting handle slowly so that the oil is distributed in the cylinder. Screw in the sparking plug.

The Stiga 45SE, 45S, and 45 lawn mowers have gained popularity among gardening enthusiasts and professionals alike due to their robust features, advanced technologies, and user-friendly characteristics. Designed for efficient and effective lawn care, these cutting-edge machines are tailored to meet diverse mowing needs while ensuring ease of use and comfort.

One of the standout features of the Stiga 45 series is the powerful engine. Equipped with reliable and efficient motors, these mowers offer sufficient power to tackle various grass types and mowing conditions. The 45SE model stands out with its electric start, providing convenience and eliminating the hassle of pulling cords. The engines are designed to maintain optimal performance while minimizing fuel consumption and emissions, promoting eco-friendly operation.

The cutting deck is another area where Stiga excels. The 45SE, 45S, and 45 models come with a generous cutting width, ranging between 40 to 45 cm, allowing for efficient mowing of both small and medium-sized lawns. The height adjustment feature enables users to choose from multiple cutting heights, ensuring a pristine cut tailored to individual preferences and lawn requirements.

An innovative technology featured in these mowers is the Multiclip system, which finely shreds grass clippings, allowing them to decompose and naturally fertilize the lawn. This not only provides a clean finish but also reduces the need for additional fertilizers, promoting a healthier lawn ecosystem.

User comfort is a priority in the design of these mowers. The ergonomic handles and lightweight construction make maneuverability easy, even in tight spaces. Additionally, the adjustable handlebars allow operators of varying heights to find their optimal mowing position, reducing fatigue during extended use.

The Stiga 45 series also incorporates safety features, such as a safety key and automatic stop, ensuring that the mower is only operational when intended, thus preventing accidents. This is essential for families with children and pets around.

In conclusion, the Stiga 45SE, 45S, and 45 lawn mowers represent a blend of power, efficiency, and user-centric design. With advanced engine technology, versatile cutting options, and ergonomic features, these models are perfect for anyone looking to maintain a beautiful lawn with minimal effort.
