STOW CMS-6S CONCRETE MIXER — OPERATION

Operation

1.Topositionthetub,makesurethemixerisplacedonfirmlevel ground, then pulluponthe dumplatch(Figure 19) and turn the handwheel until the tub is at the desired position. Once thetubisatthedesiredposition,pulldownonthedumplatch to lock the tub in position.

CAUTION:

NEVER stand in front or behind the mixing drum while it is being placed in the dump position. Stay clear of the mixing drum while it is being positioned.

2.As the drum rotates, use a shovel (Figure 20) to place the cementmixinsidethedrum,addwaterasrequired.Becareful to only place the tip of the shovel inside the drum.

3.Placingtheshovelallthewayinsidethedrum(Figure21)will causetheshoveltostriketheblades. Thisconditionwillmake the shovel rotate, and could cause injury to personnel. NEVER place hands inside the mixing drum while it is rotating.

Stopping the Mixer (Gasoline)

1.Push the main start/stop switch (Figure 22) inward to stop the engine.

2.Place fuel shut-off lever in the OFF position.

3.Clean drum of all debris and foreign matter.

Stopping the Mixer (Electric)

1.Place the electric motor's ON/OFF switch (Figure 23) in the OFF position.

2.Disconnect the electric motor's extension cord from its power source.

3.Clean drum of all debris and foreign matter.
