NEVERremovethecapfromthehydraulictankorreservoirwhileyourunitisrunning.Hotoil underpressurewillcauseinjury.
Alwaysstoregasolineinanapproved,tightlysealedcontainer.Storecontainerinadry,coolplace.Keep fuelawayfromgasapplianceswherefumescouldcontactopenflame,pilotlightsorsparks.
Donotoperateyoursplitterinpoormechanicalconditionorwhenneedingrepair.Repairandreplace wornorbrokenpartsimmediately.
Periodicallytightennuts,bolts,andhydraulicfittings.
Thehydraulicsystemofyourlogsplitterrequirescarefulinspection,alongwiththemechanicalparts.Be suretoreplacefrayed,kinked,orotherwisedamagedhydrauliccomponents.
Thepressurereliefvalveonthesplitterispresetatthefactory.Donotadjustvalve.Onlyaqualified servicetechnicianshouldperformthisadjustment.
Ifthewedgebecomesdullornicked,itcanberemovedandsharpened.Thewedgeisheavyandmaystill havesharpedges,weargloveswhilehandlingthewedge.
