RADIO AND OTHER OPERATIONS

AM/FM RADIO

1.Press the ON/OFF button (1).

2.Switch FUNCTION Selector (2) to TV/RADIO position.

3.Switch MONITOR Selector (3) to radio position.

4.Switch BAND selector (4) to either AM, FM or FM (ST.) radio position.

5.For FM or FM (ST.) reception, use directional antenna on back of unit (8) for best signal. (AM antenna is built-in).

6.Turn TUNING knob (9) to select desired station as indicated on dial.

7.Adjust MASTER VOLUME (10) to your pleasure.

8.To turn the radio off, set FUNCTION

Se le ct or (2 ) to CD G/ TAP E/ AU X position.

SING ALONG - RADIO

1.Follow operating instructions for AM/FM radio.

2.Follow operating instructions for

MICROPHONES/ECHO.

3.Adjust MASTER VOLUME (10), MIC VOLUME (11) and ECHO (6) controls. Your voice will be combined with the radio station output and will be heard through the loudspeaker.

RECORDING SING ALONG - RADIO

1.Load a blank cassette.

2.Follow instructions for Sing Along- Radio, including adjusting volume, ECHO and Tape controls.

3.Pr es s bo th RE CO RD an d PL AY buttons of Cassette Deck at the same time. The combined output of your voice and radio station output will be recorded on the blank tape in Cassette Deck.

Note: If you want to record a radio broadcast without Sing Along, load a blank tape into Cassette Deck. Unplug the microphone.

SING ALONG WITH A VIDEO CASSETTE Follow these steps to sing along with a video cassette.

1.Connect a stereo VCR's Left and Right audio output (AUX OUT) to the system's AUX IN jacks (47,53). (Fig.2)

2.Connect a VCR's Video Out to the system's VIDEO IN jack (49). (Fig.2)

3.Switch the FUNCTION Selector (2) to AUX position.

4.Press the ON/OFF button (1).

5.Plug in the microphone(s) into either of the MIC jacks.

6.Load the video cassette and then start

playback.

MICROPHONES/ECHO.

8.Adjust MASTER VOLUME (10) and

ECHO controls (6). Your voice will be combined with the playback output and will be heard through the loudspeaker.

9. Wit h Sin gin g Mac hin e or sim ila r multiplex cassettes, you can sing duets along with the recorded artist and background music. Or by turning the BALANCE control (5), you can eliminate the vocal track and do a solo performance with the background music.

P U B L I C A D D R E S S - U S I N G A MICROPHONE

The STVG-707 can be used as a PA (PublicAddress System).

Public Address (PA) Operation Procedures

1.Connect the supplied Microphone to either one of the MIC input sockets.

2.Press the ON/OFF button to turn the

unit on.

3. Se t t he FU NC TI ON Se le ct or to CD G/ TAPE /A UX . M ov e t he MI C VOLUME control to central position.

4.Move the ON/OFF switch located on the Microphone to ON position and speak or sing to the Microphone. The Microphone sensitivity and loudness could be adjusted as required by turning the MIC VOLUME control and/or MASTER VOLUME control.

5.To add depth or ambiance to your voice, adjust the ECHO control until the desired effect is obtained.

Note: To prevent feedback or whistling from occurring, please be sure that the microphone is not too close to the STVG-707 unit.
