Operating the Alarms

This clock radio features a dual alarm system, with two alarms that can be operated independently. The alarms can be set to wake two people at different times, or to have a main alarm and a backup.

Setting Alarm-1 Time

1.Slide the Alarm Set/Time Set Button to the ALM-1 setting. This will cause the display to show the Alarm-1 wake time.

2. Set the Alarm-1 wake time using the Fast Forward Button and the Slow Rewind Button. The best method of setting the alarm time is advancing rapidly using the Fast Forward Button until it is a few minutes past the desired alarm time, then using the Slow Rewind Button to reach the desired alarm time. To reverse the alarm time setting at a high speed, press and hold both buttons at the same time. Remember to set the correct AM or PM alarm time, as shown by the PM Indicator.

3.Choose the Alarm-1 sound by setting the Alarm-1 Selector Switch to either the Radio or Buzzer setting. This activates the alarm, turning on the Alarm-1 Indicator Light on the display.

4.After setting the alarm, return the Alarm Set/Time Set Button to the Off position.

5.If you selected the radio alarm, set the station and volume you wish to hear upon waking.

6. When the alarm sounds, turn off the alarm by pressing the Alarm Reset/Sleep Off button. This will turn off the alarm without affecting its operation for the next day. To deactivate the alarm setting for future days, set the Alarm-1 Selector Switch to the Off position.

Setting Alarm-2 Time

1.The instructions for setting the second alarm are the same as the above instructions for setting the first alarm. The only difference is that the Alarm-2 Selector Switch and Indicator Light are used, instead of the Alarm-1 button and light.

Operating the Snooze Feature

1. Pressing the Snooze Button after the alarm sounds will turn off the alarm for approximately seven minutes. The snooze feature can be activated several times during the alarm cycle which is one hour.

Note: The Snooze button will not operate if the alarm goes off during a power failure.
