Setting passwords

To register a password for the power-on password functions:

1Click Start, All Programs, TOSHIBA, Utilities, and then

TOSHIBA HWSetup.

The TOSHIBA HWSetup window appears.

2Select the Password tab.

3Click Registered.

4Enter your password, and then enter it again to verify.

5Click OK.

6Click OK to exit.

Deleting a user password

To cancel the power-on password function:

1Click Start, All Programs, TOSHIBA, Utilities, and then

TOSHIBA HWSetup.

The TOSHIBA HWSetup window appears.

2Select the Password tab.

3Click Not Registered.

4Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the user password.
