2. Install Hardware

Note: Because the TFU-430 is hot-pluggable, you can connect or disconnect the TFU-430 while the computer is on. Although the TFU-430 is bus-powered and therefore does not require an AC Power Adapter, it is recommended that the included AC Power Adapter be used.

1. Turn on your computer and wait until startup completes.

2.Connect the AC Power Adapter to the USB Hub.

3.Connect the included USB Cable to the Uplink Port, and then to your computer's USB port.

4.Connect the included IEEE 1394 FireWire Cable to the TFU-430, and then to your computer's IEEE 1394 FireWire port.

5. Connect USB and FireWire devices to the remaining ports.

Your installation is now complete.
