Multiple handset use

Join a call in progress

You can use up to two devices at the same time on an outside call.

You can buy additional expansion handsets (CS6709) for this telephone base. You can register up to five handsets to the telephone base.

To share an outside call:

• When a device is already on a call and you would like to join the call, press or on the other handset, or press /SPEAKER on the telephone base.

•To exit the call, press OFF or place the handset in the telephone base or charger, or press /SPEAKER on the telephone base. The call continues until both devices hang up.

Intercom

Use the intercom feature for conversations between two devices. You can buy additional expansion handsets (CS6709) for this telephone base. You can register up to five handsets to the telephone base.

To initiate an intercom call with a cordless handset:

1. Press INT on your handset or telephone base when not in use.

Calling HS X

• If you have only one handset, your handset displays	ECO
Calling base.

• If you have two or more handsets, your handset displays

Intercom to. Press 7 for the telephone base or 1-5for HS X is calling HANDSET 1 to HANDSET 5. Your handset displays

Calling base or Calling HS X.

The destination device rings and its screen displays				ECO
HS X is calling.
2. To answer the intercom call on the destination handset, press
, , INT or any dialing key (0-9, TONE	or QUIET#). Both			Intercom
handsets now display Intercom.
- OR -				ECO
To answer the intercom call at the telephone base, press
/SPEAKER, INT or any dialing key (0-9, TONE		or
QUIET#). Both devices now display Intercom.
			HS X is calling
3. To end the intercom call on either handset, press OFF or
place the handset back in the telephone base or charger.					MSG #
Both handsets display Intercom ended.
