STEP 1 Check package contents

Make sure your phone’s packaging includes the following:

STEP 3 Battery installation

1. Ali gn t he t wo h oles in the plug with the soc ket p ins,
then snap the plug in to plac e. Place the battery in t he
compartment with the wires in t he upper right corner.
2. Repl ace c over by slid ing i t upw ards u ntil it cl icks into
place.

STEP 4 Charge the battery

1. Place the han dset in the base unit/cha rgers.
2. Chargethebatteryforatleast16hour sbeforerstuse.

STEP 2 C onnec t p ower to te lepho ne base /

chargers

Plug the power adaptor into an electrical outlet not controlled
by a wall switch, and the connector into the power jack on
bottom of the telephone base/chargers.
NOTE:
• Use on ly the power adaptors supp lied with your
VTech telephone.

STEP 5 Connect to phone line

Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the telephone line
jack at the bottom of the telephone base. Then plug the other
end of the cord into the wall telephone outlet.

Step 7 Set the clock

1. Press TIME/SE T to listen to the current setting.
2. Press TIME/SE T again to indicate changes neede d.
3. Press CHANGE to chang e the day, hour, minute, or year.
4. When yo u hear the correct settin g, pres s TIM E/SET t o
advance to the next setting.

Step 8 Record your outgoing announcement

1. Press SETUP, the system announc es “Ann ouncemen t.
Press PLAY or press RE CORD. To continue setup, press
SETUP.”
2. Press REC/MEMO an d speak toward the MIC on the bas e
to record an announcement for up to 9 0 seconds.
3. Press PLAY/STOP / (whennishedr ecording).
Hanging up

Making a call
• Press TALK/FLAS H or SPEAK ER and lis ten f or d ial
tone.
• Dial the phone number.
-OR-
• Di al the phone number.
• Pre ss TALK/FLASH.
Receiving a call
Press TALK/FLASH, SPEAKERPHONE, or any dialing key
except OFF.
