Steering Handles Adjustment - Step 2

1.An adjustment range of approximately 3 in. (76.2 mm) is available on the steering handles - the handles can be adjusted forward or aft depending on the arm length of the operator. The handles can be adjusted by loosening the locknut at the pivot point and the locknut holding the handle in position in the adjustment slide. Adjust the handles into the most comfortable position and tighten both locknuts.

Steering Lever Adjustment

Neutral Position Adjustment - Step 3

1.With the Forward Speed Control (FSC) in neu- tral, the lever should be straight up. Adjust by loosening the jam nuts on the FSC Rod and turn the rod to attain the straight up position. Tighten the jam nuts.

2.The initial adjustment for neutral is to loosen the jam nuts on each end of the FSC Rod and turn the rod to achieve a measurement of 5 in. (127 mm) between the jam nuts. Be sure to tighten jam nuts before making the measure- ment.

3.Block the tractor up so the drive tires are off the ground.

4.With the FSC in neutral, start the engine. (Op- erate first at idle and then normal operating speed) and check for movement of drive wheels.
