If any of the fixture or wiring compo- nents are damaged, do not install fixture. Return to place of purchase.

For fixtures provided with 75° C or 90° C supply wire warning only. (These warnings are provided on the U.L. label and on the fixture carton.) Risk of fire. Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wires rated 60° C.

Consult a qualified electrician before installing.

NOTE: For fixture employing a grounded convenience outlet. This fixture employs a grounded type receptacle and is not intended for connection to a two wire ungrounded source of supply.

Applicable only to portable lamps:

To reduce the risk of electrical shock, all portable lamps have a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If plug does not fit, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless plug can be fully plugged into the extension cord. Developed by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, this reactor type stands out due to its unique features, advanced technologies, and robust characteristics that contribute to its effectiveness and reliability in generating energy.

One of the main features of the W-224 reactor is its pressurized water reactor (PWR) design. This design allows for the effective transfer of heat generated from nuclear fission to a secondary loop, where steam is produced to drive turbines for electricity generation. The PWR configuration is known for its safety and efficiency, providing a stable operation under various conditions.

The W-224 incorporates advanced fuel technology, utilizing low enriched uranium fuel that enhances its efficiency and sustainability. The reactor’s core is designed to optimize the neutron economy, enabling a longer fuel cycle before refueling is required. This not only improves its operational efficiency but also reduces the overall operational costs.

Safety features are a paramount aspect of the W-224, designed to exceed stringent regulatory requirements. The reactor integrates multiple safety systems, including redundant cooling mechanisms and emergency core cooling systems, ensuring that the reactor can maintain a safe state in the event of a malfunction. The containment structure is robust, providing additional layers of security against potential incidents.

The W-224 is equipped with advanced control systems that facilitate real-time monitoring and management of reactor operations. These systems harness digital technology and sophisticated algorithms to optimize performance and maintain safety standards, allowing operators to make informed decisions promptly.

In terms of its characteristics, the Westinghouse W-224 is designed for flexibility, with the capability to operate in various grid conditions. It can easily integrate with renewable energy sources, supporting the transition to a sustainable energy future. Additionally, its compact design makes it suitable for deployment in diverse locations, including those with limited space.

The Westinghouse W-224 represents a cutting-edge solution in nuclear energy, combining advanced technologies with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. As the energy landscape evolves, this reactor stands as a testament to innovation in the quest for reliable and sustainable power generation.
