Cleaning Your Refrigerator
Both the refrigerator and freezer sections defrost
automatically. But both should he deaned about
once a month to help prevent odors from building
up. Spills should he wiped up right away.
PART WHAT TO USE
Removable parts l Sponge or cbth
(shelves, crispers, l Mild detergent
meat drawer, etc.) l Warm water
To clean your refrigerator, turn the Refrigerator
Control to OFF, unplug it, take out all removable
parts and clean the refrigerator according to the
folbwing directions.
HOW TO CLEAN
l Wash removable parts by hand.
l Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Outslde l Sponge, cloth
or paper towel
l Mild detergent
l Warm water
l Appliance wax (or
good auto paste wax)
l Wash outside of cabinet. Do not use
abmslve or harsh cleaners.
l Rinse and dry thoroughly.
0 Wax painted metal surfaces at least twice
a year. Apply wax with a clean, soft cloth.

l Sponge, soft cloth

l Baking soda or mild
detergent
l Warm water

l Wash with mixture of warm water and
-mild detergent, or
-baking soda (2 tablespoons [26 g] to
1 quart [.95 L] of water).
l Rinse and dry thoroughly.
l Wash.
l Rinse and dry thoroughly.
DO NOT USE cleaning waxes, concen-
trated detergents, bleaches or cleaners
contalnlng petroleum on plastk parts.
Plastk parts
(covers and panels) l Soft, dean sponge
or soft, clean cloth
l Mitd detergent
. Warm water
l Wash
l Rinse and dry thoroughly.
DO NOT USE paper towels, wlndow
sprays, scouring cleansers or flammable
fluids. These can scratch or damage
material. See ‘Important Safety Instruc-
tlons” on page 3.
Defrost pan
(hehind refrigerator l Sponge or cbth
on top of motor) l Mild detergent
l Warm water
l Roll refrigerator out away from the wall.
l Wash defrost pan. Do not remove defrost
pan to clean.
. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
l Roll refrigerator back into place.
l Check to see if refrigerator is level.
Condenser tolls l Vacuum cleaner with
extended narrow
attachment
l Roll refrigerator out away from the wall.
l Vacuum coils at least once every other
month.
l Roll refrigerator hxk into place. Leave
1 inch (2.5 cm) between wall and con-
denser coils on hack of refrigerator.
l Check to see if refrigerator is level.
Floor under refrigerator l Fbor cleaners l Roll refrigerator out (only as far as water
supply line allows if you have an be
maker).
l Clean floor.
l Roll refrigerator back into place.
l Check to see if the refrigerator is level. 11
