Jetted sink makes noise

Gray whites, dingy colors

Is the pump/motor plugged into an outlet? The on/off button will make a clicking noise if you push the button when the power cord is not plugged into the timer control box outlet.

Is the water level too low?

Did you properly sort the load? Dye transfer can occur when mixing whites and colors in a load. Sort dark clothes from whites and lights.

Was the proper amount and type of detergent used? Use a few drops of low-sudsing, delicate washing liquid detergent or 1 tsp (4.9 mL) of a low-sudsing powder.

Jetted sink leaks

Check caulking around jetted sink for leaks.

Check household plumbing for leaks.

Is the drain clogged?

Is water deflecting off the jetted sink or the load? The jetted sink should not be overloaded. The incoming water might deflect off the load.

Did you fill the jetted sink with too much water? The jetted sink should be filled to just above the suction cover.

Stains on clothing

Did you use the proper water temperature? Follow the garment manufacturer’s care label instructions.

Garment damage

Check the following:

Were sharp items removed from pockets before washing?

Empty pockets, zip zippers, and snap or hook fasteners before washing.

Were strings and sashes tied to prevent tangling?

Were items damaged before washing? Mend rips and broken threads in seams before washing.

Is there above average iron (rust) in water? You may need to install an iron filter.

Did you properly sort the load? Sort dark clothes from whites and lights.

Did you unload the jetted sink promptly? To avoid dye transfer, unload the jetted sink as soon as it stops.

Was the jetted sink used for household cleanup and not cleaned properly? See “Cleaning Your Jetted Sink.”

Was chlorine bleach used in the jetted sink? Rinse the jetted sink well and wipe up bleach spills which could transfer to clothing causing damage.

Did you overload the jetted sink? The jetted sink must not be overloaded. Clothes should move freely during washing.

Did you follow the garment manufacturer’s care label instructions?
