OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1.Install two (2) AA batteries. If you’re using rechargeable batteries, they must be charged before using.

2.Plug the earphone into the “EAR” jack on the control panel.

3.Use the earphone in your best ear.

4.Turn the receiver on by rotating the control knob. The receiver’s ON indicator should light.

5.Adjust the volume for your comfort.

6.To turn the receiver off, rotate the control knob until it clicks off. The receiver’s ON indicator should go dark. Note: To maximize battery life, turn the receiver off when it’s not in use.

Note On The Receiver Antenna:

The earphone cord is the receiving antenna. Do not bunch up the cord or wrap it around the receiver. For best recep- tion, the cord should hang as straight as possible.

EARPAD CLEANING

Do not immerse the earphone in water or other cleaning agent. Foam pads may be removed and washed with a mild laundry soap solution, rinsed thoroughly, and air- dried. Foam pads may also be replaced with new pads.

BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS

This receiver can use disposable alkaline AA batteries (BAT 001) or a Williams Sound rechargeable battery (BAT 026). BAT 026 batteries will last about 20 hours per charge when used with Williams Sound Receivers. BAT 001 batteries will last approx. 30 hours when used with Williams Sound Receivers. Batteries from other suppliers may provide different operating life. Do not mix batteries and chargers from different manufacturers.

DO NOT TRY TO RECHARGE NON-RECHARGE- ABLE BATTERIES.

INSTALLING AND REPLACING BATTERIES

1.Open the battery compartment by lifting the tab on the bottom of the receiver with a coin or finger.

2.To remove depleted batteries, pull up on the fabric strip.

3.To install new batteries, press them into place over the fabric strip. Be sure to observe proper polarity (+/–).

4.Close the lid.

5.When the sound becomes weak or distorted, replace or recharge batteries. If recharging, use the Williams Sound CHG 200 or CHG 1600 Battery Charger.

WARRANTY NOTICE

Your personal receiver is engineered and designed to provide you with many years of reliable service. Williams Sound warrants it against defects in materials and workmanship for FIVE (5) years EXCEPT FOR ear- phones, headphones, batteries, chargers, cables, antennas, carry cases, and all other accessory products. Accessory products carry a 90 day warranty.

If the receiver fails within the warranty period, Williams Sound will determine whether to repair or replace it. This warranty does not apply to physical damage, receivers that have been abused or mis-used, or modified. Williams Sound Products are NOT designed for use in extreme temperature, humidity, or chemical environ- ments. The introduction of chemicals such as chlorine, salt water, or human sweat into the product will cause damage to the circuitry. Damage due to these causes IS NOT covered under the product warranty.
