Troubleshooting
Pressing the Eject button does not open the disc tray.
●Is the CRW8824IX drive powered up?
If not, go to the previous symptom, “The drive does not power up” (P. 22).
●Are you using the CD writing software?
If so, your CD writing software may lock the tray once the disc is loaded. If this is the case, try using the eject command from within the software. For more information, refer to the documentation that came with it. First close the software, and then try ejecting the disc.
●Can you open the tray after attempting to restart the computer?
Try this sequence: Close all application programs, restart the computer, and press the Eject button on the drive’s front panel.
