Fabric softener
clothes are left damp in the drum. When it is convenient for you to empty the machine, simply press this button again so that the machine can proceed to drain and spin, or turn the dial to the drain programme "P".
If this button is not activated, the washing programmes will end with a short spin.
Do not press this button for woollens: wool items should be gently spun.
5 Quick wash button
By depressing this button on programmes A, B, C and F the wash time will be reduced by approx. 20 mins.
2 Spin speed selector dial
Push to release the button.
The spin speed can be varied as follows:
Cotton and linen - 1200 (max) to 650 (min) rpm Synthetics, delicates and wool - 650 (max) to 450 (min) rpm.
NOTE: The spin speeds marked on the dial refer to spin speeds for cotton and linen programmes. To select 650 rpm spin on synthetic, delicate and wool cycles, the spin speed selector dial should be positioned to the 1200 (max) setting, to select 450 rpm the dial should be posi- tioned to the 650 (min) setting.
3 Heavy soil button
By pressing the heavy soil button, the machine will take in cold water only on programmes with a water tempera- ture of
These would normally be hot and cold.
The water is then gradually heated to the required tem- perature. The effect is to improve the overall wash performance, particularly on biological stains such as egg, blood and grass stains, and heavily soiled fabrics, since the longer
4 Rinse hold button
Press this button to make the machine stop with water in the drum after the synthetic or delicate wash cycles.
This is suitable only for garments which are lightly soiled.
6 Super Economy button
By depressing this button prior to selecting wash pro- gramme A you will obtain a reduction of the wash tem- perature from 95°C to 60°C.
The duration of the programme will not alter. This will ensure a substantial saving in electricity consumption.
It is advisable to use Super Economy when washing normally soiled fabrics.
7 On/Off button
By depressing this button the machine starts operating. When depressing it again, the machine stops. The push button is provided with a
8 Mains-on light
This light illuminates when the machine starts working and goes out when the ON/OFF button is released.
9 Programme selector dial
With the programme selector dial you choose the de- sired washing programme. Press this dial to pop it out and then turn it clockwise.
Before setting the dial to any position the machine must be switched off by depressing the ON/OFF button.
