ANALOG PASS-THROUGH FEATURE

Federal law requires that all Ófull-powerÓ television stations must end analog broadcasts after February 17, 2009, but this does not include Ólow-powerÓ TV stations, such as:

¥Ólow-powerÓ or “community” stations of very restricted range (LPTV),

¥ÓClass AÓ stations, and

¥ÓtranslatorÓ or ÓboosterÓ stations.

These stations may continue to broadcast in analog after the February 17, 2009, digital conversion deadline for full-power television stations.

This Zenith converter box (Model DTT901) has a feature called ÓAnalog Pass-ThroughÓ, which allows your analog TV to continue to tune the analoglow-power stations.

¥To receive analog stations, turn off the box; the analog signal will Ópass-throughÓ the box to be tuned in the TV.

¥To enjoy the digital stations, tune them through the converter box as explained in this operating guide.

DTT901 specifications

The Zenith DTT901 is a standout digital television tuner designed for enthusiasts seeking to enhance their viewing experience. As a high-quality device, it seamlessly converts digital terrestrial television signals into formats suitable for traditional televisions, making it an essential tool for those transitioning from analog to digital broadcasting.

One of the key features of the Zenith DTT901 is its compatibility with various broadcast standards. Supporting both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) signal formats, it ensures that users can enjoy clear and crisp video quality. This versatility allows viewers to receive over-the-air broadcasts from a variety of sources, including local channels, public broadcasting networks, and more.

The built-in digital tuner is another notable characteristic of the DTT901. With its advanced technology, the tuner effectively locks onto signals, even in areas with challenging reception conditions. This technology minimizes interference and enhances the clarity of the audio-visual experience, which is crucial for viewers who live in remote or urban settings with compromised signal strengths.

The Zenith DTT901 also incorporates a user-friendly interface, making it accessible for all ages. With an intuitive remote control, viewers can easily navigate through channels, access electronic programming guides, and set up favorite channels for quick access. The intuitive setup process allows for a hassle-free installation, requiring minimal technical knowledge, which is ideal for those new to digital television technologies.

Moreover, the device features a built-in analog bypass. This characteristic is particularly beneficial for users who still have older televisions that lack a digital tuner. The DTT901 ensures that these analog televisions can still receive digital signals, thus prolonging their usability.

Additionally, the Zenith DTT901 is equipped with HDMI and composite outputs, allowing for flexible connections to various display devices. This feature enables users to connect the tuner to modern TVs using HDMI for superior quality or to older models with RCA composite cables.

In summary, the Zenith DTT901 is a versatile digital television tuner offering exceptional quality, user-friendly features, and a robust design. With its ability to enhance traditional televisions and deliver a superior viewing experience, it stands as a reliable choice for anyone looking to enjoy digital broadcasting.
