ADSL X5

ADSL Modem/Router/Gateway/Firewall/4-port Switch with Ethernet and USB Interfaces

Model 5554 - Annex A

Model 5524 - Annex B

The ADSL X5 integrates a full-rate ADSL modem, router, NAT firewall, four-port 10/100 Ethernet switch and a USB port into a single cost-effective product. Concurrent Ethernet and USB connections are supported for flexibility in operating with a range of devices. Up to five computers can be plugged into the X5 directly and each can enjoy simultaneous independent Web and e-mail access.

The ADSL X5 modem works with any standard ADSL service: G.DMT, G.Lite, G.hs, or ANSI T1.413 Issue 2. The Model 5554 supports Annex A, ADSL over POTS, while the Model 5524 supports Annex B, ADSL over ISDN.

The built-in four-port Ethernet switch eliminates the need for a separate Ethernet hub for most home networks and many small offices. The USB port allows direct connection of a fifth computer. By adding an external hub, or a wireless access point, the X5 can provide simultaneous Internet access for up to 253 computers.

The NAT firewall protects your computers from intruder attacks through the broadband connection.

Setup is easy using any authorized local or remote computer's Web browser and the built-in graphi- cal user interface.

The X5 uses an ARM9 processor to create a stable, powerful platform. Flash memory allows easy firmware updates.

Documentation and the setup utility are provided in Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish. Technical support is available in English, French, German, and Spanish.
