12.6 CTCSS / CDCSS
There are 38 analogue (CTCSS 1 - 38) and 83 digital (CDCSS 39 - 121) codes available per channel.
–CTCSS: Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System
–CDCSS: Continuous Digital Coded Squelch System
The codes are transmitted as inaudible signals together with the standard voice communication. Two users, with the same channel and CTCSS or CDCSS set can hear one another.They will not be able to hear anyone else on the channel unless the other radios have the same exact code enabled.

• | Press PTT | to confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode. |

NOTE: Any PMR set on the same channel can receive and listen to the conversation.
12.7 Channel Scan
CHANNEL SCAN performs searches for active signals in an endless loop from channel 1 to 8.

12.8 Monitor
You can use the monitor feature to check for weaker signals in the current channel.
•Press and hold . After 3 seconds, channel monitoring will be activated. Hold this button for contiuous monitoring.
•Release to stop monitoring
