S Secure the guide bar and bar clamp plate with the bar nuts; tighten finger tight only.

CAUTION: If saw chain is installed back- wards, the saw will vibrate excessively and will not cut wood.

WARNING: Perform the following steps after each use:

S Allow motor to cool before storing or transporting.

SStore chain saw and extension cord in a well ventilated area

S Store chain saw with all guards in place and position chain saw so that any sharp object cannot accidentally cause injury.

SStore chain saw unplugged, well out of the reach of children.

SEASONAL STORAGE

Prepare your unit for storage at the end of the season or if it will not be used for 30 days or more.

If your chain saw is to be stored for a period of time:

S Clean it thoroughly before lengthy storage.

SStore in a clean dry area.

SLightly oil external metal surfaces and

guide bar.

SOil the chain and wrap it in heavy paper or cloth.
