Follow these steps to install batteries.

1.Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow marked on the cover to remove it.

2.Place the batteries in the compart- ment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside.

The thermometer beeps and IN, OUT, MAX, MIN, and -188.8° E (test characters) appear, then IN and the indoor temperature appear
