ribbon/electrostatic designs, without the high distortion and poor dispersion that is typically associated with them.

The G6.1c uses two of these tweeters per channel. One is front-firing and the other rear-firing; wired to the crossover out of phase to the front tweeter, creating a dipole.

4.2.2Titanium Midrange

We sometimes say that the midrange is a window into the mind of a composer or a singer. And indeed, the midrange is where the “magic” is in a well-recorded musical event.

The G6.1c uses a Genesis-designed proprietary 5 inch titanium-coned midrange to cover this critical frequency spectrum. Manufactured out of one of the lightest and stiffest materials known, this low mass cone driver is one of the best midrange transducers ever made, with nearly instantaneous transient response, enabling the G6.1c to sound lifelike and effortless.

4.2.3Aluminum-cone Woofers

The G6.1c incorporates two front-firing 6.5 inch metal cone woofers. Made of a cone of solid aluminium, the suspension and voice-coil have been maximized for long, distortion-free excursion so as to increase dynamic range. Our aluminium cones are a magnitude stiffer than plastic or paper cones, and virtually eliminate the problems caused by cone bending and break-up.

4.3 Crossover

If the servo-controlled bass amplifier is the heart of the loudspeaker, the crossover is the brain. In order to manage and maximize the performance of the extensive complement of transducers used in Genesis loudspeakers, we spend more money on the crossover than many other manufacturers put in their entire speaker.

Each crossover is designed by computer modelling plus years of knowledge and experience. The inductors are made for Genesis with OFC copper windings. The capacitors used are also custom made for Genesis, using high-quality polypropylene-film and tin-foil. The crossover of each G6.1c weighs over five pounds (2.2kg)! L/C tuning is employed to extract the most bass out of the small cabinet.

More importantly, the crossovers are designed with many, many hours of music listening and constant refining, tuning and tweaking of the circuit. Out of this comes the “magic” that is a Genesis-designed loudspeaker system. For example, by going the more expensive route

G6.1c specifications

Genesis Advanced Technologies has long been recognized as a pioneer in the realm of high-performance audio equipment, and their G6.1c loudspeaker is a testament to their commitment to innovation and excellence. The G6.1c is a hybrid electrostatic speaker, combining the transparency and detail of electrostatic technology with the dynamics and efficiency of traditional dynamic drivers. This integration allows for a listening experience that is both immersive and accurate.

One of the standout features of the G6.1c is its ability to reproduce sound with remarkable clarity and precision. The electrostatic panel is designed to deliver an extended frequency response, reaching both the high and low ends of the audio spectrum. This enables listeners to experience music as it was intended by the artists, capturing the nuances and subtleties that can often be lost with conventional speakers.

The G6.1c also incorporates advanced technology in its design, including a custom-designed high-frequency transducer, which ensures consistent performance across various listening conditions. Coupled with a robust dynamic mid-bass driver, the speaker achieves a well-balanced sound that is both rich and engaging. Each component is meticulously engineered to work harmoniously, providing an open, airy soundstage that enhances the overall audio experience.

Another notable characteristic of the G6.1c is its elegant aesthetic. The speaker's elegant curves and sleek finish not only appeal visually but also contribute to its acoustic performance by minimizing unwanted resonance. The integration of premium materials in construction ensures durability and longevity, making the G6.1c a worthy investment for audiophiles.

Furthermore, the speaker's efficient design allows it to excel in a variety of listening environments, whether in a dedicated audio room or a casual living space. With its high sensitivity rating, the G6.1c can be driven effectively by a range of amplification options, making it versatile for different users and setups.

In summary, the Genesis Advanced Technologies G6.1c loudspeaker stands out for its innovative combination of electrostatic and dynamic technologies, providing an exceptional listening experience. Its advanced features, exquisite craftsmanship, and adaptability make it a benchmark in high-fidelity audio, catering to audiophiles who demand the finest sound quality in their audio systems. Whether listening to classical symphonies or modern rock, the G6.1c delivers an experience that is both captivating and true to the original recording.
