Batteries

This appliance operates with one AAA 1.5 V battery. For best performance, use an alkaline manganese battery (type LR03, AM4, AAA, e.g. Duracell). Make sure the appliance is turned off.

Remove the battery com- partment cover (4) by pulling downwards (a).

Insert the battery with the (+) and (–) poles in the direction marked.

Close the battery compartment.

Note: If the appliance is not used for long periods of time, do not leave the battery inserted (danger of leakage). Take an expired battery out of the appliance immediately.

Used batteries should not be disposed of with the household waste. Please dispose of them at special collection points or return them to your retailer or authorised service centres.

Using the appliance

Your Exact Series Precision Trimmer is perfectly suited for closely and safely removing any unwanted hair on body and face (e.g. neck, back, eye brows). Slide the on/off switch (3) up to turn the appliance on.

Place the cutting head (2) against the hair to be removed and guide it slowly against the direction of hair growth. For optimum results, pull the skin taut with one hand while using.

The appliance comes with two trimming combs in different lengths for trimming hair to a uniform length (e.g. eyebrow shaping):

•short trimming comb (6): 5 mm / 1/5"

•long trimming comb (7): 8 mm / 1/3"

Ensure that the appliance is turned off before attaching a trimming comb.

We recommend that you start with the long trimming comb. Slide it over the cutting head (2) until it clicks into place.

Turn on the appliance and gently comb your eyebrow against the direction of hair growth as shown in (c). Ensure that either one of the comb sides is guided flat against the skin.

Cleaning and maintenance Always turn off the appliance before cleaning.

Remove the cutting head (2) by turning counterclockwise 90° and then lifting it up.

You can rinse the detached cutting head under warm running water.

Please ensure that the cutting head is complete dry before attaching it.

For storage, attach the protec- tive cap (1).

We recommend lubricating the blade with a drop of light machine oil twice a year or after cleaning with water.
