Wireless LAN Module Safety Instructions

Follow these safety instructions when setting up and using the wireless LAN module:

Do not use the device near any medical equipment or cardiac pacemakers. Electromagnetic interference from the device may cause such equipment to malfunction and cause an accident.

Use the device only with an Epson projector. If it is installed in another device, such as a computer, it may cause damage or malfunctions in the other device.

Do not disassemble or remodel the device; internal components may cause burns.

Use of the device on aircraft may be restricted in some countries. Before using the device on aircraft, make sure it is allowed.

Do not use the device outdoors.

To comply with RF exposure compliance requirements, at all times maintain a distance of at least 8.7 inches (22 cm) between the antenna of this device and people in the vicinity.

Do not store the device in direct sunlight, or in locations subject to high temperature or humidity.

Do not get the device wet.

Do not use the device near a microwave oven. Electromagnetic interference generated by the microwave oven may interrupt wireless communication.

Do not drop the device, subject it to impacts, or place heavy objects on it.

Frequency Precautions

The frequency band for this device is 2.4 GHz. This is the same band used by industrial, scientific, and medical devices such as microwave ovens and mobile unit identification (RF-ID) systems (licensed premises radio stations and unlicensed specified low-power radio stations) used in factory production lines. Before using this unit, check that there are no radio stations for mobile unit identification or specified low-power radio station premises nearby. In the event that this unit should interfere electromagnetically with the premises of a radio station used for mobile unit recognition, cease use immediately and stop generating the electromagnetic field. Contact Epson if this unit interferes electromagnetically with a special low-power radio station used for mobile unit identification or causes similar problems.

Wireless Telegraphy Act Regulations

The following acts are prohibited by the Wireless Telegraphy Act:

Modifying and disassembling the device (including the antenna)

Removing the label of conformance
