Step 1 Connect the wireless router.

1Make sure you have all the setup information from your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

2Make sure that all network hardware is turned off, including the router, computer(s), and cable or DSL model.

3Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports as shown on the right (labeled 1, 2, 3, or 4 on the back of the router). Plug the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port on your computer. To connect an additional computer or network devices to the router, repeat this step.

Optional: Connect another Ethernet cable from your cable or DSL model to the WAN port on the back of the router.
