Introduction

Konica Print Utility (KP) is a printer utility developed by the Systems Engineering Center of Konica Business Technologies, Inc. specifically for users running a UNIX/LINUX operating system. KP is fully customizable and easy to use. This user's manual is intended to show you how to set up KP once it is installed and how to configure KP for your Konica Workgroup Document System. For more information about your Konica Workgroup Document System, please refer to the User's Reference Guide provided with your specific machine.

Konica Print Utility has three forms:

KPP:

Konica Print Utility allows you to print PostScript®- and text-based files. With PostScript® files, KP allows you to use any of the finishing options associated with your Konica Workgroup Document System, so that you may take advantage of all features that your Konica system offers. With text-based documents, KP not only allows you to use finishing options, but also allows you to make basic formatting changes (font size, lines per page, etc.) to modify the physical layout of the file you are printing.
