Chapter 2. Learning the basics

The following describes the features of each function key.

Turn on/off the keyboard light. (specific models only)

Enter standby/sleep mode.

Turn on/off the backlight for the LCD screen.

Shift to other connected display devices.

Open the interface for display resolution settings.

Open the interface for integrated wireless devices settings (enable/disable).

Enable/Disable the touchpad.

Start/Pause playback of Windows Media Player.

Stop playback of Windows Media Player.

Skip to the previous track.

Skip to the next track.

Enable/Disable the numeric keypad.

Enable/Disable the Scroll Lock.

Activate the system request.

Activate the break function.

Increase/Decrease display brightness.

Decrease/Increase volume level.
