Opening the ADF

The scanner is designed to be maintenance free. However, it must be cleaned occasionally to ensure optimum image quality and performance. Clean the scanner when it does not feed documents smoothly or if multiple-sheet feeding occurs.

For best scanner performance, clean the glass scanning areas and the feed module and rollers at least once per week. Use only these cleaning materials:

Kodak Digital Science Roller Cleaning Pads (CAT. No. 853-5981)

Staticide Wipes for KODAK Scanners (CAT. No. 896-5519)

IMPORTANT: Staticide Wipes contain isopropanol which can cause eye irritation and dry skin. Wash your hands with soap and water after performing maintenance procedures.

Use of other cleaning materials could damage your scanner.
