Cleaning the ADF

The feed module and the feed rollers in the ADF may become contaminated with ink, toner, and paper dust. This can cause document feeding problems.

1. Open the ADF.

2.Wipe the feed module with a fresh Roller Cleaning Pad.

3.Wipe the feed module with a dry Roller Cleaning Pad.

4.Wipe the feed rollers with a fresh Roller Cleaning Pad from side to side and top to bottom.

Rotate the rollers by hand as you clean them. Be careful not to snag or damage the springs.

5.Wipe the feed rollers with a dry Roller Cleaning Pad from side to side and top to bottom.

Rotate the rollers by hand as you dry them. Be careful not to snag or damage the springs.

6.Close the ADF.

The scanner is now ready for use.
