9.At the command prompt, type:

12.Repeat Steps 4 and 5.

This time the CD-ROM icon should appear as an available drive in the &+window.

Why couldn’t I install OS/2 Warp with its CD disc? Is my CD-ROM defective?

No. Your CD-ROM probably had nothing to do with that problem.

Instead, the standard IDE CD-ROM driver contained in Diskette 1 of the OS/2 Warp installation package might not be
