Jam Clearance

A paper jam in the EHCS will be indicated by a message on the digital press

Touch Screen. Follow the instructions displayed. The image on the EHCS Control

Panel will flash showing the area where the jam is located.

Perform the following steps to clear the EHCS jam in the Bypass area and resume printing.

1Lift the EHCS Top Cover.

2Lift the green handle, or handles, indicated on the Touch Screen and remove all paper in the Bypass area. Remove paper only from the areas indicated.

3Close each green handle.

4Close the EHCS Top Cover.

5If the Touch Screen indicates there is a jam in the digital press, follow the instructions on the screen to remove any paper in the area indicates. Refer to the Jam Clearance section in the Problem Solving chapter in this manual.

6Follow the instructions displayed on the digital press Touch Screen to resume printing.
