SUPPLY
Batteries
•Insert two alkaline batteries (R6, UM3 or AA) as indicated.
•Remove the batteries if they are exhausted or if they are not to be used for a long time.

•The set is switched off when TAPE/RADIO is in the TAPE position and no cassette player button is pressed.

COMPACT CASSETTE
– The adaptor must supply 3V DC ->+.
•Connect the mains adaptor to the DC 3V socket. The 1.3 mm centre pin of the 3.5 mm adaptor plug must be connected to the minus pole -.
RADIO RECEPTION
•Set TAPE/RADIO to RADIO.
•Connect the headphones to p.
•Set FM-MW(AM) to FM or MW.
•Tune to the desired radio station using TUNING.
– The headphone lead will function as FM-aerial. For MW(AM) the set is provided with a built-in aerial. The aerial can be directed by turning the whole set.
– The FM STEREO indicator lights up when receiving a FM stereo programme.
•Adjust the sound with VOLUME and DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost).
• Open the cassette holder and insert a cassette |
with the open part facing the buttons and the full |
reel on your left. |
• To start playback, press 2. |
• Adjust the sound with VOLUME and DBB |
(Dynamic Bass Boost). |
• To stop, press 9 and the set is switched off. |
–At the end of the tape the 2 button is automatically released and the set is switched off.
•For fast winding, press 6. To stop press 9.
Press 9 when the tape reaches the end.

USE YOUR HEAD WHEN USING HEADPHONES
Hearing safety: Do not play your headphones at a high volume. Hearing experts advise that continuous use at high volume can permanently damage hearing.
Traffic safety: Do not use headphones while driving a vehicle. It may create a traffic hazard and it is illegal in many countries. Even if your headphones are an open-air type designed to let you hear outside sounds, do not turn up the volume so high that you cannot hear what is going on around you.
MAINTENANCE
•Clean the magnetic head after every 50 hours of operation or, on average, once a month by playing through a cleaning cassette.
•Do not expose the set and cassettes to rain, moisture, sand, or to excessive heat from e.g. heating equipment or in cars parked in the sun.
•Use a soft, slightly dampened chamois leather to clean the housing.
Do not use any strong or corrosive cleaning agents such as thinner, benzene, etc. as these will damage your set.
ENVIRONMENTAL NOTE
1 All redundant packaging material has been omitted. We have done our utmost to make the packaging easy to separate into two mono- materials:
–cardboard (box)
–polyethylene (bags, protective foam sheet) Please observe the local regulations regarding the disposal of these packaging materials.
2 Your set consists of materials which can be recycled and reused if disassembled by a specialized company. Please inquire about local regulations on how to hand in your old set for recycling.
3 Do not dispose of exhausted batteries with your household waste. Handle with care and dispose according to local regulations.

AUSCULTADORES

Segurança rodoviária: Não utilize os auscultadores quando conduzir um veículo. Mesmo se os auscultadores forem do tipo “ar-livre”, concebidos para permitir-lhe ouvir os sons exteriores. Não aumente demasiado o volume para que possa ouvir tudo o que se passa à sua volta.
MANUTENÇÃO
•Limpe a cabeça magnética após 50 horas de funcionamento ou uma vez por mês através da reprodução de uma cassete de limpeza.
•Não exponha o aparelho e as cassetes à chuva, humidade, areia ou a calor excessivo, tais como aparelhos de aquecimento ou em carros estacionados ao sol.
•Utilize uma camurça ligeiramente humedecida para limpar a caixa. Não utilize agentes de limpeza que contenham álcool, substâncias voláteis, amónia ou abrasivo etc., porque tais produtos podem danificar o aparelho.
NOTA AMBIENTAL
