There are 16 memory slots available (4 banks, 4 modules each)

They can optionally be equipped with 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB or 1GB registered DDR-RAM modules (PC1600)

The maximal extension is 16 GB with today available 1GB modules!

Any mix of modules within one memory bank is not allowed

ECC with memory scrubbing and chipkill is standard

Optional hot-spare memory functionality can be configured in the BIOS (redundant memory bank 3 + 1)
