3.2.1Starting the Remote Management Frontend via an iRMC/ iRMC S2

Proceed as follows:

ÊIn the ServerList window (see figure 2 on page 19), click the name of the server which you want to manage with the Remote Management Frontend:

If the server can be managed via the Operations Manager (status

icon for example ), then the ServerView [server-name]window opens (see “Starting the Remote Management Frontend for manageable servers” on page 21).

If the server cannot be managed via the Operations Manager but can be

accessed via the secondary channel (BMC mode, status icon ), then the Remote Management view is opened (see “Starting Remote Management Frontend for servers in BMC mode” on page 24.)
