Intermittent problems
Intermittent system hang problems can be caused variety of reasons that have nothing to do with defect, such as cosmic radiation, electrostatic software errors. FRU replacement should be consi only when a problem recurs.
When analyzing an intermittent problem, do the fo
1. Run the advanced diagnostic test for the board in loop modeat least 10 times.
2.If no error is detected, not replacedoany FRUs.
3.If any error is detected, replace the F the FRU code. Rerun the test to verify th errors exist.
Undetermined problems
You are here because the diagnostic tests di which adapter or device failed, installed devic incorrect, a short circuit is suspected, or th inoperative. Follow these procedures to isolate t FRU (do not isolate nondefective FRUs).
